New Title: Tout Change
Do business leaders really want to care about environmental and ethical conduct, or is it all simply a publicity stunt? What scientific approaches are able to define precisely the fluctuating and ever-changing nature of life? What is the role of Buddhism in the new trends that appear to transform the habits of individuals and the structures of our societies? This little book, if nothing else, makes a modest contribution to the debate on these topics. It is an invitation to reflect.
"Interesting work, raising important questions."
- L. Decio Eizirik, director of the laboratory of Experimental Medicine, Free University of Brussels
"An excellent contribution, both from the content point of view and the form. The topic is extremely important and presents a very rewarding Buddhist approach. "
-Mark Eyskens, Minister of State
"A remarkable work with relevant comments and criticisms "
-Drafting M & O Management in Tijdschrift voor Onderneming

New Title: Travailler sur la colère
Anger can destroy our relationships with the people we value most and trap our spirit into becoming a prisoner of sadness. When our mind is happy, free from anger and resentment, we are able to work and share with others in a way that benefits all. By contrast, when we are unhappy and angry, we sabotage what others and ourselves are doing.
Anger poisons us all, both personally and externallym and can have lasting consequences. And yet we realize that people like the Dalai Lama, who faces worse situations than what most of us face, continues to live on without the need for revenge. How do they do it?
When we observe our own mind and our heart, and when we understand this painful disturbing emotion that is the anger, we will not let ourselves be taken over as easily by such negative emotions. Gradually, we will take create some distance from our emotions without suppressing them. We can then replace those emotions with healthier states of mind and adopt a beneficent spirit that embraces patience, tolerance, love and compassion. This book aims to teach you these techniques.
Travailler sur la colère (Working on anger) presents a range of Buddhist methods to control and prevent anger, not by changing what is happening, but framing it differently. Regardless of our religion, this book can be very effective for anyone who is seeking personal happiness and a peaceful place in the world.
This book can benefit everyone, because whatever our education, socioeconomic class, gender, race or religion may be, we all fall prey to the clutches of anger.
Working on anger is a wonderful book, wisely written, with the potential to change your life. Written in an accessible style that is typical for Thubten Chodron, the author provides generously vivid examples from everyday life. The book is full of practical strategies to break free of anger, resentment and envy. If you need a manual to overcome anger and live with more tolerance, love and forgiveness, I highly recommend this book.
Finding compatibility in a partner should be the hallmark of every Buddhist's journey through life. We should not force the issue, but there can be much harmony if you find someone you are meant to be with. The trouble is that with all the noise and distractions in the world today, finding that special someone can be a challenge, to say the least. While technology and society has advanced a thousand-fold over the last few decades, our need for human companionship remains the same. It could be argued that today, it is harder to connect with other people than ever before.
But that does not mean you should be alone your whole life. The Internet provides us with a tool to find what we want in life. After all, it is through the Internet that you found this site. However, at this time there are no niche sites devoted to Buddhist people who are interested in dating. Due to this fact, I think the best approach for us to take is to join a general dating site like eHarmony, then be very specific when it comes to filling out the questionnaire and make it clear what it is that you want.
To some extent, eharmony will do the work for you. That's because they have a complex algorithm that matches your personality to somebody else that science has shown is likely to be compatible with you. You may or may not want to specify that you only want to date someone of the same religion, but I favor not putting restrictions like that in your profile and keeping an open mind about these things. I recommend getting a trial of eharmony before deciding whether you want to purchase a subscription. The free trial will allow you to take a personality test and receive matches, so it's enough to allow you to determine whether or not you want to pay for this service.
In my last article about Buddhist Dating, I talked about how eharmony is probably the best site for Buddhists. But there is rarely something that will be ideal for everyone, and some people may prefer another major dating site called Match.com. Here, I will explain why this might be the case for you, and offer you a way to join Match.com using a free trial.
As explained in the earlier article, with eharmony, your personality is analyzed, and the site employs an algorithm to find you a match. This is fine for many people, but some of us prefer to have a greater say in who our matches are. This is where a site like Match.com comes in. Although this site does have some matchmaking features, for the most part, you are on your own. This can be both a good and bad thing. On the one hand, you are not being fed matches, and you are completely free to search and communicate with anyone else on the site. The downside, however, is that you have to do all the legwork. This means searching members in your area using criteria that are important to you, reading dozens or even hundreds of profiles, and narrowing down the people you wish to get in touch with. Again, this may or may not be your style. To be sure, using a service like eharmony is much less time consuming. But if you want to be the master of your own destiny, a site like Match.com will allow you to maintain complete control of the entire process.
If you cannot decide which style of dating site you prefer, here is an idea you may want to try. Join both sites using a free trial offer. Here is a link to a match.com free trial if you are interested. And eharmony is free to join, and you can receive matches before you decide whether or not you want to become a paying member.
Many people thing of gamers as young, geeky males living in their parents' basement. While this stereotype may be accurate for some people, the fact is that gamers come from many different backgrounds and all walks of life. According to some statistics, women gamers now outnumber male gamers, which is another surprising fact you may not have been aware of.
Although many people like to play the aggressive, violent, first-person shooter type of game, there are also quite a few of us who prefer more laid back, peaceful games. Here are some games in that category that you might want to consider.
If you like animals, this game might be right up your alley. You play a badger mom that needs to guide her cubs through a journey. All the while, you must make sure your cubs are fed and also fend off any dangers that comes your way. The main theme of the game is survival.
2. Octodad: Dadliest Catch
I won't like to you, this game is a bit odd, but enjoyable nonetheless. In the game, you play a dad who is actually an octopus.
Your family does not know you are really an octopus. During the game, you must complete everyday chores that would normally be easy, but is complicated by the fact that you are an octopus hiding their true identity.
3. Papo & Yo
The protagonist of the game escapes from an abusive past and becomes friends with a monster and a robot. Your goal is to solve a series of puzzles which will help save your friend from self-destruction.
If you have not played these types of games before, they may take some getting used to. I recommend getting a free Gamefly subscription and renting the games first before buying them. I personally don't like buying a game unless I'm sure it's something I will be playing for years to come. Gamefly is the perfect way for me to test out games I'm unsure of. While the service isn't 100% free, you can get 30 days of the service for free using the Gamefly free trial.
We all know that smoking can have harmful effects on our bodies. For this reason, millions of people each year attempt to quit, with varying results. More often than not, any attempt to quit smoking ends up being a failure. The primary reason for this is that nicotine is among the most addictive substances in the world. Quitting smoking, therefore, ends up being an extremely difficult thing to do.
One compromise you can make is to switch over to E-cigarettes instead of trying to give up nicotine altogether. Why would someone make this move? Because, quite frankly, e-cigarettes are a lot better for your health than smoking, according to numerous health experts. But how could this be, since e-cigarettes contain nicotine, just as normal cigarettes do.
One thing that many smokers don't know is that nicotine is just one of the substances in tobacco smoke. In addition to the nicotine, cigarettes contain hundreds of chemicals, carbon monoxide, and tar. When you use an e-cigarette instead, you are eliminating all of these things. While it's true that e-cigarettes do sometimes contain substances that aren't good for us, they generally contain such substances in such small amounts that it's questionable if they are really doing much harm to our bodies.
Hopefully, by this point you are sold on the idea of using e-cigarettes. But where do you start? If you've spend any time online reading about e-cigarettes, there is a good chance you may feel somewhat overwhelmed. Because of this, I recommend getting a starter kit from a trusted e-cig company like Vaporfi. Starter kits contain everything you need to start your new vaping habit. They usually come with a couple batteries, cartomizers (cartridges that contain e-liquid), and a charger. The fancier kits also include things like a carrying case, among other accessories. But any kit from a good company will serve your needs just fine while you are getting started. To get your starter kit at a discount, make sure you get these Vaporfi coupons from http://e-cigbargains.com/coupons-vaporfi/.
You may be wondering why I recommend Vaporfi, when there are hundreds of e-cigarette vendors online. The answer is that I've tested their batteries and found their products to be superior to the e-cigarettes many competitors offer. Are there other good e-cig companies? Of course, but I can state that among the e-cigs I've tried, Vaporfi is currently at the top. As with many things in life, you get what you pay for. That's one of the reasons Vaporfi's products tend to be a bit pricey. You can find many stores selling vaporizers for much less, but I can virtually guarantee that such products will not be very good at all. You want your first experience with e-cigs to be a positive one, and that is yet another reason you should get started with Vaporfi's products. If the price is causing you to hesitate, remember that there are 12% off Vaporfi coupons you can use to get the best deal possible.
